Amazing food and friendly knowledgeable service. We felt we were seated a little close to other diners when there was plenty of room. This is a minor point and it did not detract from having a lovely experience

We had the pleasure to dine at Orrin today and it was absolutely amazing! The food, the service and the eye for dietary wishes was great. The recommended wines (one white and one red) worked very well with the langoustine and the duck. The desert was delicious. We can fully recommend to visit this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. A brilliant taster menu with wines and cocktail menu to match. A perfect menu of very fresh and seasonal delicacies to tempt you. A wonderful personal table service was informative and reassuring too, expertly talking you through the individual dishes. Can't wait to visit again. Perfect.

We were in Elgin for a couple days from Aberdeen, My husband and I had seen this restaurant online and booked here on 23rd August. Our server ( forgot to ask his name) was nothing but attentive and very informative when asked about recommendation of the dishes , my husband wanted to try the sweetbread and our server gave a very honest option how they tasted , hubby did order and loved them , all the dishes we had were excellent as was the service , the atmosphere of the place was lovely , nice decor , music in the background not to loud , I honestly cant rate this restaurant highly enough , and we most definitely will be back , and highly recommend you to try for yourself. Well done to all the staff at Orrin for a truely wonderful experience and see you again soon.

Wasn't keen initially, but went back for a follow-up visit and am so glad I did. Live music on a Wednesday night, restaurant packed, set menu fantastic and delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic. The menu is changed monthly, too, which is refreshing.

My husband and I went to Orrin for our 6 year wedding anniversary. I knew it would be upscale but wow. Not only was it pretty inside but the staff were very attentive. The food was absolutely incredible. I got the gnocchi which was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Paired with the most amazing sauce. He got the sirloin steak and said it was the best steak of his life. For dessert I got the brownie which was so decadent. He got the white chocolate cheesecake and from his face you could tell he was in heaven we both talked about the meal the whole way home and hours later. Perfect way to celebrate.

Orrin Restaurant is, in a word, PERFECTION! And somehow, that word falls short to describe the true excellence of Orrin. My husband and I held our wedding reception at Orrin in May of this year, and the experience could not have been better: the food was excellent, the staff were incredible, and the atmosphere was heavenly. The lovely and ever-patient Jacob worked closely with us up to a year prior to our wedding, helping us to organize all of the details, menu options, table decor and flowers, and even helped to arrange whiskey favors for our guests from the amazing Glen Moray distillery. Jacob kindly offered so many incredible suggestions as we worked our way through the overwhelm of the planning process with calm and grace, and we were extremely grateful for him. We were lucky enough to experience the exquisite cuisine of Chef Elliot, a master of his craft, who prepared the best three course meal we have probably ever eaten in our lives, and that is no exaggeration. Aberdeenshire beef cooked and seasoned to perfection, vegetables prepared to rival Eden, and a dessert course that left everyone wanting more. Not only did the planned meal and decor come together beautifully with the help of Orrin's expert staff, but the restaurant itself is absolutely stunning - embellished with botanical and contemporary colors and accouterment, it fit perfectly with the vibe of our wedding. During our event, Orrin was so on top of everything that the stress of the day fell completely away - they were kind and accommodating, helpful and the excellent customer service was almost beyond belief. Orrin even surprised us with an exceptionally talented bagpiper to "pipe" us in as we arrived. Our experience at Orrin couldn't have been matched, it is a very special place and will hold our hearts for years to come. We would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful staff at Orrin for hosting us and taking care of us on the happiest day of our lives. We were welcomed straight away and shown to our table in the first instance by Richard, even though we were early for our reservation. The food and wine we chose from the menu was explained further to us by Richard, leaving no doubt that we had chosen well, thank you. We were also informed it was a new menu. We cannot commend the chef and front room staff enough, they were chatty, friendly and courteous in all respect, the presentation of the food and subsequent taste, was first class. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you to one and all in Orin.
